Cookie Policy

What this site stores in your browser, why, and how you stay in control.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in much the same way. In this policy, “cookies” covers both.

In short: we only store your cookie choice. Analytics and advertising cookies are never set unless you allow them, and what you enter in the calculators is never stored in cookies.

Types of cookies we use

Essential (always on)

These are needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice, so they do not require consent. We do not set any cookies of our own; your choice is saved in your browser's local storage.

Analytics (off until you allow it)

Help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it (Google Analytics). Nothing is loaded until you turn this on.

Advertising (off until you allow it)

We do not currently show ads, so nothing in this category is loaded. Your choice is still saved so it applies if we add advertising later.

What you enter in the calculators is never stored in cookies or sent to us.

Providers choose the names and lifetimes of their own cookies and can change them, so this list shows the main ones and may not be complete.

Third-party cookies

Google scripts load only for the types you allow. Once loaded, Google may set its own cookies and receive information such as your IP address and the page you are viewing. We use Google Consent Mode, so these services start with storage denied and are told about your choice.Apart from our host Cloudflare, which delivers every page, no other service is contacted while you use the calculators. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.
